I decided to write every Friday on this blog. Perhaps by doing it I can consistently write something here. I think writing in English will also help me not to forget my writing skill. However, my weakness is always my grammar. So, pardon my broken engkish and please focus only on the content.
Yesterday, we moved to a new house. My husband and I have decided to rent a house since we came back from Melbourne. But looking a new house in Kupang is so tricky. In Melbourne, we also had same issue about moving. Somehow it’s easier to find a house in Melbourne. Because there were so many options, a range of helpful websites, and even agents! But in here, we only rely on the advertisement on the newspaper. Fortunately, in one occasion, Yosua met our friend, and he told us a house in front of his house. The house is close with the main road and close to the city center as well, which is my main consideration if we want to rent a house.
So after living in a (quite expensive yet comfortable) boarding house we moved to a large (and still cheap) house. My beloved father helped us to move. He came with me from SoE. We even brought a bed, chairs, and plastic table from SoE. Thank you, Papa. Dad looked satisfied with this house. It has 4 bed rooms, and a big big living rooms. It is suitable to be an office actually.
Then three of us, went to several places to buy things. A fan (for sure, since everyone knows how hot Kupang is), a cup board, other things to complete the house. And then we went to the old house to get our stuffs.
It was a pleasant journey. And thank to Father who is always happy to help his children. Ahh, the old man with a good heart.
Yesterday, we also experienced a not so good thing. So when our car was turning to a store, a motor cycle came and crushed the car. The motorcycle was so fast; he didn’t notice that we made a turn. Fortunately, he was ok. Fortunately, he used a helmet. But dad’s car had scar and the lamp was broken. People were coming and commenting and watching what dad would do. Some people even told dad to asked the rider to take responsibility of what he has done. Father stayed calm, while more people came to watch. He forgave the rider and showed him the car. The rider cried louder. Maybe he was shock and afraid.
A lesson for all of us. For the rider to always take care. For us to not too into things. To not love badly the thing we own and make us forget what humanity is. For the people who watch, so they know that calmness can also solve things.
For me, to love my father more.
